How many, and when
We can write 25 free letters a week for 4 weeks, first come, first served. The form only accepts a nomination while this week’s letters are still available, so nobody submits one and finds out later there was no room.

What to expect, plainly
- Best efforts, and capped. 25 letters a week is what we can do without taking the pen away from paying families who keep the lights on. When a week is full, the form says so and tells you when the next week opens.
- A person reads every nomination and you hear back by email within a few days, either way. We never leave a nomination hanging.
- For children in our local area who are facing something hard: illness, loss, a family going through it, a rough year at school. You decide who qualifies; tell us in a sentence or two.
- Up to 3 children per nomination. One letter per child, with their name on the envelope and on the certificate.
- Sent to the child’s home, or to you to pass along if that is kinder or simpler. Nothing on the outside mentions us.
- Private. What you tell us is used to write the letter and for nothing else, and it is deleted after the season. We never contact children.
