Sent from Santa

How it works

From your kitchen table to their mailbox

From your three minutes of details to an ink-addressed envelope in your mailbox: how Sent from Santa writes each letter with a real pen and mails it to your child.

1. You tell Santa about them (about three minutes)

Only a name is required. Every other detail is optional and drops into a sentence you can see: something they did this year, one thing to keep working on, a wish they have mentioned, someone to hug, their town. The form checks your wording as you go, so the finished letter reads the way Santa would say it.

2. You choose the letter and see it in Santa’s handwriting

Start from one of Santa’s letters or write your own. The whole page appears on Santa’s letterhead in the same handwriting the pen will use. Zoom in, change any word, and keep going until it is right. If a letter runs too long for one page, the builder tells you before you can continue.

3. You choose where and when

Enter the child’s mailing address and pick the week it should go in the mail: right away, or a specific week in December so it lands closer to Christmas. You can add more children to the same order without retyping the address.

4. A pen writes it

Your letter goes to our production floor, run by Premier Letters. A writing machine holds a real pen and writes your letter stroke by stroke on Santa’s letterhead. The envelope is addressed to your child the same way. A person checks each piece before it is sealed.

5. We seal it, stamp it and mail it

Letters travel by USPS First-Class Mail, which usually takes three to five days. Keepsake packages ship in a gift mailer with tracking. Nothing on the outside mentions this site, a price, or you.

6. You watch the mailbox

Take the mail-checking job yourself that week, and have a camera ready. If you ordered the notes, another envelope arrives in early December, the week before Christmas, or the week after.

If something goes wrong

If we make a mistake or a letter arrives damaged, we rewrite and re-mail it free or refund you. If you spot a typo of your own, tell us quickly at elves@sentfromsanta.com: we can fix it any time before the pen touches the paper.
